Travel Insurance

Please note that we have found that most General Travel Insurance policies do NOT Cater for Scuba Diving.

 

Our Policy has been arranged for YOU for your SPORT.

 

We are finding that more and more people are relying on Travel Insurance from their Banks or from Multi-National type companies, however, we have found that whilst they may recognise Scuba Diving, they are NOT truly catering for it.

 

In addition we have seen companies advertising in Diving Magazines, suggesting they can provide cover for you. But again, when one looks at the cover on offer, it can often include all sorts of exclusions.

 

• Here are some of the exclusions we have found from other travel policies:

 

• Depth Restriction (as low as 6 metres).

 

• No Cover for Sea Rescue (this is a bit like selling skiing cover without mountain rescue).

 

• No hyperbaric chamber treatment cover.

 

• Cover is excluded if the holiday was primarily booked as a diving holiday (i.e  they are NOT covering diving holidays).

 

• You may have to be accompanied or have access to an experienced and/or suitably qualified instructor or guide.

 

• Cover for the medical cost of a diving accident can be very low.

 

• No cover for Dive Kit, or loss of diving days due to an illness.

 

• No Shark Diving, No Wreck Diving, No Night Diving.

 

 

WE HAVE NOT EXCLUDED THESE POINTS.

 

All we ask is that you must be diving within the current safety recommendations of the

BSAC &/or SSAC &/or SAA &/or PADI &/or CFT &/or TDI &/or IANTD.
